The government is being strict with the case of digital security act. In this case, the case will be taken into cognizance after the green signal of the ICT cell. Law Minister Anisul Haque also said that he would tell the Home Minister not to arrest the journalists as soon as the case is filed. He was responding to a question from reporters at the secretariat on Thursday (November 4th) at noon. Anisul Haque said, 'If you file a case under the Digital Security Act, it will not be a case instantly. There is a section of the ICT Act and there is a cell in that section, that has to comply. Then the case will be lodged. I have also spoken to the Home Minister to ensure that journalists are not immediately arrested when the case is filed against them. He told me it would be done that way.' "We are working hard to prevent the misuse of the Digital Security Act," he said. “We are taking strict action against those who abuse it in the future.” He also claimed that the law was not enacted to deprive freedom of speech or freedom of the press. The minister further said that whether a case will be taken under this law or not, it has to be verified first. If satisfied, only then the case can be taken later.
